Tunica Casinos are among the fastest growing group of casinos in the United States. Tunica County saw its first casino in 1992, two years after the Mississippi Legislature authorized gaming in counties along the Mississippi River. Tunica is now one of the top US gaming destinations after Las Vegas and Atlantic City with more than 10 million annual visitors and one of the highest visitor satisfaction rates of any gaming destination.Tunica is a happening place. The gaming has a Las Vegas feel largely due to the involvement of two Las Vegas interests, Caesars Entertainment and Harrahs Entertainment, in development of the area. The limits and odds seem a little better than Vegas. For example, there are plenty of low limit tables even on weekends and it is not hard to find games such as double deck blackjack and craps with 10x odds. The casino staff are friendly and live up to Mississippi's nickname of the 'Hospitality State.'
